Bathroom Supernova

I know, it's a waste of water but there is nothing I love more than a hot bath.  And a hot shower is my second love.  There is nothing more relaxing than steeping or steaming your troubles away in a hot bath or shower.

Which is why I would sell my soul to have a Supernova, designed by Sieger Design and manufactured by Dornbracht, installed in my home.  Insert sigh. Being a designer can be so depressing sometimes,  I see all these amazing products I can't afford.

Bathroom fixtures are usually sold individually: a toilet, sink, faucet, etc- but never before have I seen sink, shower, bathtub, faucets and shower heads considered one fixture.

Hello 2010!

I can't believe it's already the middle of January and I haven't posted a darn thing!  I am sorry for the lack of posts, but I have had a long and busy holiday season.  Now, I am rested, refreshed, and ready to take on the blog-o-sphere again!  Writing the blog took more time than I thought it would and I am trying to nail down a better format- so I can continue to share my inspiration but still have a life.

I will continue to have Monday posts featuring new products and inspirational projects.  Monday posts will be short and sweet except for once a month, when I will write a longer post about my latest Design Crush.

By the end of February, I plan to have Wednesday posts.  Wednesday posts will be focused on work!  I'll have advice from established designers, general contractors, and sub-contractors from all trades, useful websites- all aimed to make you (and me) a better designer.  Also, I will take (and hopefully pass) the NCIDQ this year, so many of Wednesday's posts will be NCIDQ focused: what I'm studying, suggestions from designers that have passed, resources for study materials, etc.

If you have anything you'd like to learn, inspiration to share, drop an email: designelixir@gmail.com.

I plan on taking this week to get the blog back up and running & will begin regular postings again next Monday.  Thanks for your patience! In the meantime, enjoy some pics from my vacation.  I am now obsessed with moss-covered things, the color green, grey and orange color combination, pebbles, and driftwood.  And my love for the color turquoise is as strong as ever!  What inspired you over the holiday season?
