Andreu World is hosting their 9th International Design Competition. The design must be an original chair or table suitable for mass production and made of Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut.
Entrants must send in a 1:5 scale prototype, a 2-4 page project narrative, and a CD with plans, sketches and supporting information. Students and designers can compete- there is no age or experience restriction.
1st Prize wins 4,000 Euros ($5,730.32 USD according to Google Currency Converter), 2nd Prize wins 2,000 euros ($2,865.16 USD) & there will be up to 3 honorable mentions awarded.
