Project Crush: Room Mate Hotel-Barcelona

The Room Mate hotel motto is "Your friend in each city" and your experience is geared to make you feel as if you are staying with friends in town.  Most of the chain's hotels have a friendly moniker:  Leo, Lola, Oscar- and these friends are design savvy!!

The hotel brand boasts modern design at reasonable rates — averaging $100-150/night. The chain now has 15 hotels worldwide and the first Room Mate Hotel was the 56 room "Emma" in Barcelona. 

Check out the futuristic interiors by Madrid designer Tomás Alía, Façade by  Nadal Moneo.
